posing

I took these pics of Gracie the other day- in the ones where she has on clothes, she is modeling my christmas dress from 1981.

Rice Cereal time!!

So Gracie started eating rice cereal this week- how much fun!!! Its a bit messy, but she loves it and is really doing well! We are so proud of our little stinker!

Its Christmas Time at the Vegos!

This year, we started our very own Vego tradition of staying at home on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was absolutely wonderful! Ross' mom and Meme came up to visit and celebrate with us on Thursday, and my mom came up on Friday. We really did have a great time. However, I really missed getting to see Jordan, Taylor, and Caleb so next Christmas we are going to have to do something about getting together with them! We are planning a trip within the next couple weeks so I am sure I will be blogging about sister-cousin time. :)

Gracie loved christmas. She especially loved trying to eat the wrapping paper and boxes that her gifts came in. :) We had a blast helping her open gifts and have really enjoyed reading her new books to her, playing with her new toys, and dressing her up in her new clothes! She doesnt need another thing until her birthday (except for maybe diapers :))

God has truly blessed us with a loving family and a wonderful home to live in, and a wonderful church family who has just wrapped us up and accepted us as if we had been here forever. We are so thankful for that!! What a wonderful holiday season this has been!

Holiday Parties

This year we have had a VERY busy holiday season! We have been to seven different parties and needless to say are almost partied out! All the parties were fun, but by far we had the best time at the Ugly Sweater party! With a $100 prize at stake, folks went all out and wore their tackiest attire possible. Here are a few pics of our fun evening. And no, we didnt win. But ross did get in the top six (not because his sweater was that great, but because he looked like a creeper).

Four Months!

Our sweet Gracie turned four months on December 5! It is crazy to think that she has already been here that long! We took her to get her four month shots and she did surprisingly well. She weighs 13 lbs. 7 oz. and is 25 inches long! I am so proud of this little lady and so excited that she is a part of our lives. I just love being her mommy and so glad I get to spend time with her every day! Here are just a few of the things she is doing now:

- we started her in her crib. She actually does pretty well, and only cried one night. We are all sleeping much better now!
- she is rolling over in every direction and she LOVES to sleep on her belly!
- she is now making a wet "razz" sound with her tongue. It makes a huge mess of spit going everywhere but its so stinkin cute! she blows bubbles and is just a very happy baby.
- she will talk, coo, laugh, squeal, and is VERY vocal. I think we are going to have a talker on our hands!
- she is sitting up well! She likes her bumbo and likes to sit in our laps.
- She went to her first bible class on December 12 and she LOVED it.
- She has found her toes and does not know what to think about them!
We are so blessed to have such a sweet baby girl, and we love her more every day!!

Gracie's Christmas pics

This poor child of ours is already becoming a camera hog! But she is good at it and she takes amazing pictures. So, here are some of the pics we took of her in her many christmas outfits!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

We made our rounds this year to Batesville and to Memphis. Gracie did really well! She wore her cute little turkey outfit and was sweet as pie all day long. We had fun spending time with all our family, laughed and ate A LOT, and even had time to do a photo shoot with sweet Taylor! Here are a few pics from our day :)

All about Gracie

This post is all about my sweet pea, who will be 3 months on Friday. Where has the time gone? 3 whole months have flown by, and they have been filled with joy thanks to our little one. She is our world, and we just love her to pieces! Here are a few of the things she is doing right now:
- She will "talk" to you- she loves to make noises and coo when you talk to her
- She will give you the biggest smiles you have ever seen!
- She is starting to like tummy time and will push her little self right up and look around, and then she will roll over!!! Amazing.
- She is starting to blow bubbles with her spit. Funny how she has no idea she is doing this, yet I think it amazing. :)
- she is the most loving little thing- she loves to lay on you and nap, and when she first wakes up, she just lays her head on your shoulder and snuggles. She also snuggles early in the morning!
-she LOVES to kick stuff. When we went to Jordan's a few weeks ago, they let me borrow Taylor's kick and crawl mat that had a big ball hanging on it that you could kick. Gracie loved it, so we got her one, and now when she plays she has to kick something. She loves it!
- She is STRONG. you really have to watch her because she will push off your chest with her arms, or she will lock her legs out so hard and push. Cant believe a 3 month old has this much strength!!
I love this child with more than I could ever imagine. She is my life, my world, and I love every minute I get to spend with her. Thank you God for giving us the gift of Gracie!!!

More Photo shoots!

FINALLY my sweet baby is feeling better! To celebrate, we had a photo shoot. what else would a good mama do? :) So, here are a few pics of G that I took today. She was a great little model.

Happy Halloween!

Well, this halloween was Gracie's first, and was a total bust. :( Sadly, Gracie got her first cold right before our Trick or Trunk at church, and we only got to go for thirty minutes because she had really started to feel awful. And by actual halloween, it was cold and she was snotty. Soooo.... we have two costumes that did not get worn other than to take a quick picture when she didnt feel great. We did, however, get some cute shots of her in her halloween sleepers :) So, for what its worth, here are Gracie's first halloween pics. Hope next year is better!!

Callaway is here!!

Anna Callaway Scott arrived on October 25, 2010 at 5:54 PM and weighed 7 lbs and was 18 inches long!! We are so excited that She, Suzanne, and Trent are doing great and are so glad to have all three babies here! What a blessing that they all got here safely and are healthy and happy! Here are a few pics from our trip to see our newest "cousin" in the hospital ;) ISNT SHE ADORABLE!!!

sister cousin time!

Since Jordan and I both have little girls, we have invoked what we like to call "sister-cousin time". We just love hanging out with Aunt Jo and cousin Taylor (and Uncle Caleb too). The first official sister cousin time was October 8-9, when Uncle Bryan and Aunt Di came to visit all the way from Texas. Jordan and I had a blast with our girls, and listening to some old jams on the radio. Fun fun! The second sister-cousin time was a couple weeks later- I went down to Jordans to help her get some much needed rest and to get her out of the house. We didnt take a single picture that trip, but we did have a great time visiting with each other and having adult conversation, which if you are a stay at home mom you know doesnt happen much during the day! :)

And She Rolls!!!

My sweet baby is on the move! She has started to like "tummy time" and doesnt just cry the whole time she is laying there. She started picking her head up, and I caught a few pictures of her pushing up with her arms, and looking around at the world from a different vantage point. She's not so sure about all that yet :)

And as we were taking these pics, My sweet baby rolled over from her stomach to her back! It was possibly the most exciting thing I have ever seen! The video that I took was too big to upload, so here is a little video I happened to catch of her in action just a few days later!
